 If I may be talked about myself, I will tell you that I am a woman with many ambitions and arrangements in the life. Now, I am an undergraduate student at Medical University. As soon as graduating from University, I hope I get a good job in an International hospital in Vietnam or a foreign country if I have a beautiful opportunity. That is also the reason why I study English. It doesn’t only help my job, but also my hobby (my passional subject). I cannot live without English. In other words, I feel lack of something in my life if beside me has no English knowledge. As other women, I’d like to have a private happy family beside husband and children. So, I’m going to get married around 28 or 29. My ideal man should be kind-hearted, helpful, self-disciplined, and responsible. I don’t really need he is rich, well-known, but I need a real heart from him. The next step of the life, after retiring we will think of travelling more. I put a plan to stop working at 55. It’s possible we will find a peaceful land to live the rest of life. The life will be a beautiful poem if people know how to arrange it in order. I love my life because I always create something newer, nicer.

Tet holiday

In my country, there are many festivals such as Tet holiday, Christmas, Valentine’s day and so on but Tet holiday is the best important one. It usually lasts for 10 days.  Several days before the Lunar New Year, people have to prepare many things for a new year coming. They decorate houses, go to the market. They buy many kinds of food, cakes, flowers, and fresh fruits. On the first day of Tet, the members in family wish their grandparents for the best wishes. Then they visit relatives, friends and greet each other “Happy new year”. Children often get lucky-money from adults. In addition,  some people also play cards together and others go spring sightseeing. I enjoy Tet holiday because it is a spring festival that I have more fun, visiting relatives, meeting friends after a hard year for jobs.

My Birthday Party

I have attended various parties such as wedding, birthday, and meeting but my favorite one is celebrating birthday. It is an opportunity to receive the best wishes and pretty presents from my family and friends towards me. I usually celebrate my birthday at home. In order to decorate for the party, some my best friends and I blow up many colourful balloons and put up wire birthday decorations. My mother often undertakes to (đảm nhiệm) cook a special meal. Besides cooking, she prepare other food and drink, biscuits, fresh fruits, candies, beer, especially a large birthday cake that she is home-made. In the evening, my room becomes colourful and flickering light of candles (bập bùng, lung linh). The party is began as everyone comes in full. Then my mother steps out with the birthday cake and glistening candles on it. I close my eyes and pray for the new age with everything better while everyone is singing a birthday song “Happy Birthday”. Then I blow out the candles and they clap their hands at once. After that, we enjoy the meal, talk with, and laugh aloud. The atmosphere becomes warmer and warmer. I like birthday party for many reasons seeing my best friends, having more fun, receiving lovely gifts, particularly meaningful wishes from my dear ones.
